The National Meteorological Service issued an orange alert for high temperatures in Buenos Aires. Rain and thunderstorms are expected tomorrow, with thermal sensations of up to 38 degrees.


Orange alert for extreme temperatures in Buenos Aires

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued an orange alert due to high temperatures in the City of Buenos Aires and its surroundings, also forecasting rain for the following day. The warning covers the Federal Capital and several Buenos Aires parties, as well as areas of other provinces such as Catamarca, central Córdoba, southern San Juan, and San Luis.

In the specific case of Mendoza, a red alert was declared, while in Corrientes, Misiones, Chaco, Formosa, Tucumán, and Santiago del Estero the alert was yellow. During the afternoon, the thermal sensation reached 38 degrees in Buenos Aires and its surroundings, leading many people to consume large amounts of water to protect themselves from the intense heat.

For the following day, the SMN announced the possibility of storms, with a minimum temperature of 26 degrees and a maximum of 30. Adverse weather conditions are expected all day on Wednesday, with temperatures ranging between 21 and 26 degrees.
